About Us
Raid Calendar has been developed to solve a problem - raiding in Blizzard's World of Warcraft. Oh sure, raiding is easy enough, it's finding 25 (or 10, or even 5) players with the right combination of class, gear, talent and free time that's 'OH-MY-GOD-JUST-KILL-ME-NOW' difficult.
Raid Calendar isn't a forum plugin, or an in-game Addon, it's a site that helps you manage your raids whether you just turn up and pew-pew or you're actually the poor bastard who has to try and motivate 25 cats into an organised herd. Of course, we can help with managing it - finding 30 players that aren't idiots is your problem. Good luck with that one.
Raid Calendar is funded by advertising. If you're a user that's good for you as it means that not only is it free, but our dedication to non-intrusive ads means that they're not going to get in your way, or take over the browser or anything obnoxious like that. If you're an advertiser it's also pretty good as the people that use this site are of the highest calibre; witty, urbane, intellectual and very wealthy.
What is Raid Calendar?
Raid Calendar is just a website - a site that aims at delivering the best and easiest way of knowing exactly who is going to turn up at a raid, or when you're needed at one.
Raid Calendar for Raid Leaders
Raid Calendar understands your pain. We're not stupid enough to try and run raids ourself, of course (we're too busy making this site for you), but, trust us, we know what it's like. We'll take the hassle out of letting your raiders know when they're needed, tracking exactly who has signed up and just what classes and what talents they have. We'll even show you pretty graphs because no-one ever sold anything without a graph.
Raid Calendar will not only help with your raid management, but also with your recruitment and raid progression tracking. We know where you've been, and with a little interaction that means that we can show other people just how far you've progressed. Friendly competition is a great motivator, and a better recruitment tool. Best guild on the server? Just point people to your public pages to prove it. Kinda sucking in your Karazhan progression? Hide your shamed and burning faces by making the group private while you wipe away your tears.
Raid Calendar for Raiders
Fed up with dredging through 40 pages of posts on the next patch on your guild (or alliance) forum, you know, the one with the Hello Kitty! skin? Want to know exactly where you're going, when you're going, and who else has signed up? want to see ... GRAPHS? Even better, we'll also keep track of your loot drops and raid progression, and keep track of your player stats for you, so you gain bragging rights over all those useless cretins on the server who you want to know, without a shadow of a doubt, are worse players than you.
